Store builds, fixes and speed

Store changes that do not break your tracking.

Most tracking problems start with a store change nobody checked. We handle theme work, apps and speed, then confirm purchases still reach GA4, Google Ads and Meta before we call a job done.

Diagram of a Shopify or WooCommerce store from the inside. The theme and app layer feeds a data layer that sends clean events such as view item and add to cart. Those carry through to checkout, where the purchase event is tested before launch.

What you walk away with

  • Theme changes tested on a copy before they go live
  • Fewer apps and plugins loading on every page
  • Faster templates on mobile
  • Checkout and thank-you pages that keep firing purchase events
  • Short written notes on every change

A good fit if

  • You need store work done and your last developer broke tracking
  • Apps and plugins have piled up and the store has slowed down
  • You are moving theme or platform and want measurement to survive it

What we do

What we work on

Theme work

New sections, layout fixes and product page changes, built on a duplicate theme or staging site and published when you approve.

App and plugin clean-up

We list what each app loads and what data it sends, then remove the ones you no longer need, along with the code they leave behind.

Speed

Image sizes, unused scripts and heavy templates are the usual culprits. We fix what moves Core Web Vitals on real mobile visits.

Checkout changes

Upsells, custom fields and thank-you page content, done with the platform’s supported tools so updates do not undo them.

Migrations

Theme changes and platform moves with a redirect map, a tracking plan and test orders on the new store before launch.

Tracking checked every time

After each change we place a test order and confirm GA4, Google Ads and Meta still receive the purchase once, with the right value.

Platforms

Two platforms, one test before launch.

Each platform has its own way to break tracking. These are the areas we know best.

Shopify

  • Online Store 2.0 theme sections and blocks
  • Checkout extensibility and Customer Events
  • Metafields and metaobjects for product content
  • App audit: what each app loads and what it sends

WooCommerce

  • Child themes and block themes
  • Checkout and thank-you page hooks
  • Plugin audit and update plan
  • Hosting, caching and database clean-up

How it runs

From kickoff to handover

  1. Day 1

    Scope

A short call and a look at your theme, apps and current tracking. You get a fixed quote for the work.

  2. Build

    Work on a copy

Changes go on a duplicate theme or staging site. You review a preview link before anything goes live.

  3. Launch

    Publish and test

We publish at a quiet time, place a test order and check every platform received it.

  4. After

    Hand over

You get notes on what changed and why, so the next developer is not guessing.

Questions

Common questions

Do you build new stores from scratch?

We can, but most of our store work is improving an existing Shopify or WooCommerce store. Tell us what you need and we will say whether it is a good fit.

Will you edit our live theme?

No. We work on a duplicate theme or a staging copy, and publish only once you have approved a preview.

Can you fix speed without removing features?

Often, yes. Much of the weight on a typical store comes from apps that are no longer used and images that are larger than they need to be.

Do agencies use you for white-label store work?

Yes. We can work inside your agency’s process and tools, and stay out of the client relationship.
